As i found out :( Got an A, so still pretty happy i guess, was aiming for an A+ however. Is a 43-44 out of the question now? I'm still going to give it my all, just curious?

What happens if you get an A for the mid-year - ie. 40+ query, panic, etc etc

It'll make a very very very minor difference, and at most, a 0.05 ATAR difference.

How did I got an A? Or how did I dropped 9 marks?
I am despretly searching for mistakes and I can't find 9 marks dropped.

Is there a possibility to look at the marked paper?
I've spend the last 30 minutes searching for mistakes, can't waste more time.

Marks are very easy to drop in Physics :P

Vege edit: ^^^Reason no. 24 why it's a dud subject \o/

DivideByZero (old member from a few yrs back) once got a 48 in Methods with an A in exam 1. I'd say 43-44 is definitely possible in Physics with an A, but you will need to do pretty well (high A+) on the end-of-year exam.

I, er, can recommend a pretty good book to help you *cough*

I've read somewhere that the exam 2 score in Methods can boost your exam 1 score if it is high enough. And it must have been a really high A.

As for me, i got a D+.. A little disappointed after all those practice exams -.-

There is a chance, impossible to numerically quantify that chance though.

I got a B+ lol. I guess based on the amount of work I did for this subject, I deserved what I got. An A would've been nice though.

Studied to achieve an A. Received an A. Gotta be happy with that :)

Now I'm going to study to achieve an A+ in exam 2 :)

I think for exam 2, I might do a little bit more work than print out Rohit's notes.

Buying my Unit 4 Physics book would be a great start! :D

I'm not biased for my own book, well I try not to be, but all of the ATARNotes series of study guide books are excellent, I know you do Chem - so that would be an excellent buy as well - just the value you get out of them will be so much, especially the detailed solutions, because Physics is a subject about concepts, not formulae, I never had to remember 20,000 formulas and try to fit them all onto my summary sheet in order to do well in Physics.

I think it's pretty clear to everyone how much I despise this subject. But unfortunately, you're trapped in it AND the BEST resource there is is Paul's book. I had a look through it during working with the AN stall, and seriously, I think it makes this subject bearable and interesting. Get on it, I'm sure it'll help! :)

(thanks for using my notes haha, surprised you could decipher my poor hand-writing!)
