Our exams were last week but we have a 'GAT preparation day' on Tuesday, -_- so pointless.

LOL now I've heard everything.

I've done my English + Religion exam on Friday. What exams/when do you have them. Mine are:
Tuesday: Methods Exam 1 + Physics
Wednesday: GAT
Thursday: Methods Exam 2
following Tuesday: Chem

My stupid curriculum coordinator made yr 11 exams the same week as the GAT, completely neglecting the fact that there are over thirty students who will be sitting for the GAT. Mind you, she was never oblivious to this... she's just malevolent!! lol

I have:
Tuesday: Viscomm (Dropping viscomm for unit 2 so last ever viscomm related thing yay) and RnS
Wednesday: GAT
Thursday: English and Legal.
Friday: Methods (kind of annoying that methods is one exam as it would be nice to get used to doing it over two exams like in 3/4) and Economics as my last exam.

Everything's in one week so it's kind of annoying but at least exams only take up a week or so of the term so we can get straight into Unit 2 & 4.

I hope what we have to write about in the GAT is something I know a lot about already. :)
Graduated with Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Bachelor of Arts from Monash University in June 2020.

Completing Practical Legal Training (Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice)

Offering 2021 Tutoring in VCE Legal Studies (Awarded as Bialik College's top Legal Studies Student in 2014).

Offered via Zoom or in person across Melbourne.  Message me to discuss. Very limited places available.

Yeah we have 2 Methods exams at my school; the first is non-calculator with short-answer, whilst the second is Multiple Choice  + extended response with calculator. Dropping Physics at the end of the year so 2nd last Physics related thing - YAY!

I'm just angry because it means I have to sit my Chem exam the following week, wasting time from studying for 2 important year 12 SACs, one of which is the day AFTER the Chem exam (same day) lol.
lol my bio 3/4 common test which is counting for about 2 outcomes is straight after the GAT on Wednesday...

Good luck with your Unit 1 exams. At my school, almost everyone had a bit of a slump in their results because they were not yet fully adjusted to the VCE system. Obviously make sure you study and do as best as you can, but don't be surprised or upset if the results were not what you were expecting. It tends to correct itself by the end of Unit 2. :)

Additionally, now might also be a busy time for subject transfers and new timetables. If you are already certain that a particular subject is not for you, transfer out of it sooner rather than later. (Physics students, I'm particularly looking at you as I say this. :P) I don't really have any regrets in VCE yet, but I probably should have transferred out of Physics at the end of Unit 1, given that I wasn't enjoying it, wasn't doing that great at it and wasn't intending to do it in Year 12. Your time in VCE is short and you want to make the most of it, not force yourself to study something you really don't want to. Even if that subject is a prerequisite for a course you think you're interested in, you may wish to reconsider that option since if you're not getting the most out of the prerequisite, you might not enjoy that course either. There is no shame in changing subjects; in fact, at my school, the vast majority of students underwent some change both at the end of Unit 1 and Unit 2. :)

Last week I started my year 11 exams:
I had; chem, japanese, methods(one exam split into calc and noncalc) + a further sac and i had a revs sac during revision week
I would have completed my year 11 exams last week but our school has this rule that if you have a year 12 class on you have to reschedule your exams...
this week i have;
tues- 3 hr english
wed- gat
thurs- revs practice exam
and following tues- further practice exam.

Can't wait till this week is over!! and good luck for the gat everyone :P is anyone studying for it? (i'm pretty sure all you can do is do last years).

Stick I'm dropping Physics for Specialist. Should I do unit 2 because Motion helps in Spesh. I really dislike Physics...

I'd do the motion part of GMA as they teach it in a better way (ie. thinking in vectors).

Is it because it's too easy/hard or is the content just boring?

Specialist would help with Physics, not the other way around. I understood the topics so much better in GMA than in Physics that it was actually a bit disturbing. XD
