Two entire Australian Politics classes started at my school at Units 3&4, after no one did the subject in Units 1&2. Make of that what you will.

Is it because it's too easy/hard or is the content just boring?

Its really easy; its just boring and I have absolutely no motivation to study for it. Should I just drop Physics at the mid-year, and just pick up Specialist next year?

IMO unless its going to mess with your whole timetable it's better to pick up subjects that you want to do in yr. 12.

Yeah I want to do Spesh :) Although I'm highly attracted to the elusive scaling, my decision to do Specialist stems from my passion for Mathematics!! I just realised I'll be doing 3 Maths lol; stupid 3-math stipulation.

I was going to do all three maths in one year. The best decision I made was to not do that. :P

Coming from someone whose technically doing 4 maths units out of 5 at uni this semester, you can never have enough maths :P (although I don't really know if I should count stats as maths... :P)

Well I'm only doing 2 next year; Spesh and Methods. I finish Further Mathematics this year so it'll work itself out I guess :)

In addition, apparently methods and spesh are very similar. Spesh just goes into more details. So studying for one is like studying for both (from what people have told me).

Drop it, personally I hate physics too, but I might do engineering so I'm keeping it and drop economics. If your not doing any thing related to engineering in uni, may as well drop it.

Somewhat. I mean, you cannot completely neglect Methods, but they tie in much closer than Methods and Further do. I guess it also makes Methods seem a lot easier, and your general skills will improve too.

You're not necessarily obligated to keep Physics, especially if you do GMA. There are also some engineering courses (such as Monash's ones, from the top of my head) that do not necessarily require Physics if you have Specialist or Chemistry.

If you don't need Physics and are absolutely sure you won't do it next year, drop it. Do GMA Unit 2 instead because I was told it is an introduction to Specialist in Year 12 and has topics including vectors, kinematics, matrices and trig identities.

Yeah I've decided that is what I'll be doing. I cannot stand another unit of Physics lol
