At least it's going to be quick. 4 more months, nearly there!!

Electric power is literally doing my head in. Reading, watching videos, researching and still having a hard time understanding all the theory behind it.

Does anyone know any good physics videos/tutorials? I think I'll need some for electric power ;(

For the first time this year I'm feeling a bit down.

For one of my subjects this year, I've been doing great. Really happy with my results, and I've worked my absolutely ass off to get them.

For this particular subject, I want to get to a level where all the top kids are at our school. So I asked my teacher how to get there, and she reckons that those people at the top, are those that don't have to work hard to ace he subject, and that they get everything naturally. They aren't like me, someone who does more than just the homework, and gets ahead 3-4 chapters before we even start a topic.

Feeling really shattered, this is a subject I really like, an had the belief that I could get at least 38-40. Feeling as if I'm not good enough because I have to work hard, and I'm not natural.

I feel exactly the same with every subject that I do

That's actual bs. Your teacher should not even teach anymore haha.

No one is 'naturally' gifted at a subject. It takes time and will to learn something and be great at it.
Heck, they may be 'naturally' faster in learning the concepts, but that comes to individualism, not intellectualism. Some people are slow learners, others are the exact opposite.

It's literally like a sport, saying one is genetically gifted plays a role, however what are genetics if your diet consists of maccas day in day out?
I'd say you're in the best position, nothing comes close to the satisfaction of proving someone wrong. (in this case your teacher)

Just practice, because practice almost makes perfect. (sorry nothing is perfect  :P )

Thanks Reus

Feeling a bit better now, still shattered. Going to ease up for the next couple of days, probably talk to the wellbeig person at our school. After that I want to get to a point where I'm, instead of shattered and sad, hungry and angry, to prove my teacher wrong. And how does she know that those people at the top don't work hard??

I had another teacher tell me a similar thing last year. That talent beats hard work. But I disagree.

Gawd yearr 12 LOL

Wow, what a way to kill any will to learn in your students.. It's probably just a get out of jail free card for these teachers, so that if they teach badly they can mentally blame poor class results on a lack of talent from their students. Gah, this kind of approach is the worst, y u even teach if you think like dat.
