sub-humans deserve the death penalty. cool

thanks atarnotes!
It's really not that hard to quantify..., but I believe that being raped once is not as bad as being raped five times, even if the one rape was by a gang of people.

> calls someone an animal for killing someone
> thinks it's okay to kill someone

does not compute

IMO, It's quite unlikely now that the rapists will get a death penalty, because India's last death penalty was given to a terrorist that killed hundreds of people (and the government took 4 years to make up their minds about giving him a death penalty!)
I think the max. sentence the rapists can get is like 30 years now?
Never heard of such a ruthless crime before...

If they have money they can get off without charge. But even if they do get off, they'd get lynched anyway.

Just read through this thread.

I've been watching news shows in India , such as NDTV India and Times Now, its all they talk about and thats all they should . Pictures of people holding candles, the reporters showing strong messages written in red on large billaboards , young school girls protesting ,etc. It's amazing what the spirit of the young people is like in India. And those men , who did this horrendous crime, should be punished to the worst.

If this sort of stuff is happening in the capital city of India , what would happen in rural /regional areas of India .
Yesterday , New Years wasnt a joyful event for the subcontinent ,as we heard from some family friends, people were mourning . We heard that girls in Delhi , arent allowed to go out of the house after 6 pm and bazaars are closed as early as 11pm. This is how much this incident has affected the country .

From memory, I think they are from a lower class in India, so I doubt they will have money to get away
