Yeah VCEANON is right on the spot, 2010 looks like it will be very similar, but every cutoff listed on that Distribution should be raised by 1 out of 80  8)

Thought it was a fair exam. In reading time it looked very very straightforward, but it became deceptively tricky. Expect the A+ cutoff to be about 37 or 37.5

Yeh 65 degress is right
I stupidly put e^-5k times e^2 in my working
when it should have been (e^-5k)^2

I think all I got wrong was only finding 2 solutions for question 8 and not putting those in Cartesian form (I got scared when i had to square root z^2, realised it goes to polar form but forgot to turn it back)

Do you think it's still possible to get 2/4?

I'm 1 mark is the final answer with 4 solutions and 1 mark for getting those 4 in polar form. I got up to there so is 2/4 possible?  if so, i hopefully got 38/40 and pray to based vcaa that the cut-offs aren't like 2011 :)

does cutoff really matter? if 38 is the cutoff of A+ and you get 37 and get an A is it really a big difference? is it a bigger difference from 37 and 36...

If I wrote "(2,-2,1) OR 2i -2j +k" for AB, will I get this wrong because I haven't given a single answer?
because it didn't really specify if answer was required in i-j-k form or whatnot....
Was a mark only anyway (I think???)

Almost certain you'll get the mark (and yeah it was one mark).

Since todays exam was relatively straight forward, would you expect that Mondays exam will be an absolute killer?

Not necessarily, but you might as well be prepared for that.

God damn stupid mistakes! I left a negative off my partial fraction, losing me one mark. Another was in the complex question, I completed the square leaving 2 left over instead of 3.

The result: Me having to use tan(ø)= √2 to create a right angled triangle, and then consequentially having to use the cos double angle formula to find both sine and cosine of the angle to get my final four answers, and I even made a slip up in THAT.

That being said, I did complete the square with z2=x, and solved for the square root through the use of polar form, and recognised the need for four solutions, one in each quadrant (this was to assist in me not needing to follow negatives, not to mention it was true). Hoping that'll get me 2/4 marks, leaving me with 37/40.
