I know someone that got a TAFE scholarship and didn't apply to TAFE lol. I know people that didn't do any maths and got the email.  As mentioned before, scholarships based on atars are offered after results come out.

I see. I wasn't aware of how common this was, and judging from reaction I think a lot of us weren't aware either. Whats done is done, guess we know now for the future.

Doesn't it sound so awesome though!! An AN hospital!!  :D  :D  :D

Just imagining patients being all like:
"Dr. Splash-tackle-fail, I swallowed a beetle."
"Dr. Hamo94, please pass 99.90pls the scalpel"
OR they'll be all like,
"Dr. Robert...why do you always refer to that doctor's name as a numeral? Why does his name include a decimal point?"

Hello, sorry for hijacking this thread, but I noticed that we're less than one day out from results, stress is running at an all-time high and just wanted to share my story to maybe put everything into perspective.

Up to a week before, i'd be constantly stressing about what i'll get for results, being unable to sleep, unable to do anything. The anticipation turned me into a nervous wreck, parents weren't helping too much with it, telling me I need to repeat if i don't get close to 50.

Come Thursday, mum received a phone call, turned into a nervous wreck. My beloved grandfather was always in hospital for the past few months receiving treatment for his medical condition, but his condition turned critical on Thurs night. We booked the next available flight to China, leaving this afternoon. We always knew there was a chance we couldn't make it on time, but we never believed it. We didn't make it on time. What this experience showed me was that, despite the importance i placed on VCE, it is only when i've experienced something far more important that I can start to comprehend how little it means.

Year 12s, your ATAR might mean everything to you right now, your parents might be ready to give you verbal beatdown, but deep down they love you and only want the best for you. There's far more to life than these numbers that pop up in the form of 'Study Scores'. Embrace and cherish what we've got right now :)
ATAR: 99.80

While I can't personally relate to the undoubtedly heartbreaking loss that losing a family member incredibly close to you could create,  I know it is probably incredibly hard for you to be able to share this with us, and it definitely shows us a new perspective to life in general.

Although i'm probably not stressing as hard as some of us, reading your story gives me another reason to just be grateful for what I have right now and excited even, for the various opportunities that i'll be able to have and just how blessed I am to be just living comfortably in one of the best places in the world to be. Thanks a lot Jammin :)

So sorry about your loss.. I hope you and your family pull through; I cannot imagine how hard it must be for you and your family. If you need anyone to talk to just send a pm my way :)

Ahh, so for the sake of my insanity, and the fact that I'm going to suffer with some school mates as we await that the fateful 7:00am judgement day, I don't think I'll be able to join in with you guys for the countdown (well I might we'll see ;) ).. And since this, and I guess offers day will likely mark the last real moments this thread will be really active, I just wanted to say how incredible it has been to share the VCE journey with so many amazing, supportive, inspirational people. I may only know half of your names, but it's almost as if I know you guys personally, through your stories and posts. It's crazy how tight I feel this group is, even though we're just talking through the inter-webs. You guys are the splash to my tackle, and the tackle to the I don't know what I'm saying lol :)

So with results looming before us, I just want to remind you guys and gals that regardless of what happens tomorrow, chilling and chatting on the Year 12 Class of 2015 has been absolutely amazing. I also know that as we get closer and closer to results, nerves, excitement and everything is going to kick in. But I also have a really really really really really really big inkling that each and every one of us are going to achieve our dreams whether it be tomorrow, or in the near future. Whether it be at school, or helping answer questions in the subject question threads, I know we have put in the work, the sweat, and the tears. We got this comrades :D ; after all we are the AtarNotes Year 12 Class of 2015!

Stay positive!!  And keep 'splashing'- we're almost there!!
:) ;) :D ;D  8) ::) :P

oh and I cannot wait to celebrate with you guys afterwards!

I'm gonna pull an all nighter for kicks, when am I going to have a reason to do one ever again?

Okay what the heck.

Long story short, I got accepted into both Extension Maths (Melb Uni) and Extension Chemistry (Monash) earlier this year. However, I decided to withdraw from Extension Maths and emailed the Student Officer in charge; this was back in March. So that was all done and dusted... or so I thought.

Having just logged into the Melb Uni Student Portal, I was surprised to see that I was still enrolled in the subject (MAST10013). Not only this, but clicking on 'view my results' has revealed that I have (surprisingly :O) failed the subject.

Obviously this shouldn't be a worry since I've completed Extension Chemistry. However, is there the slightest chance that VTAC may take the result form UniMelb and not Monash?? It's probably too late either way given results are tomorrow.... :(

Ugh.

Edit: also, I had received an email back saying that I had been withdrawn successfully, which makes it all the more confusing.

Just a FYI about tomorrow guys:

1. In case you've been living under a rock or in North Korea until now, ATAR results are being released tomorrow. To view your results online, log on to resultsandatar.vic.edu.au using your VCE student number and Results Service PIN. The default Results Service PIN is the first four digits of your birthdate, however most you may have changed it already. Results will be available online from 7am Monday 14 December to 5pm Friday 18 December. You will get them in the mail a few days later. The Herald Sun 40+ list will be available form here on Wednesday 16 December.

2. If you're keen on sharing, all results discussion should occur in the results board. Please realise that there are two threads: one where you post your results only, and the other where you can discuss your results and futures. Please post in the correct threads.

3. We have a very low (ie. zero) tolerance for anyone who makes inappropiate posts; those people will be met with bans and will have to explain themselves (via email) to admin to get them reversed. It'd be a shame to be banned because AN is also a fantastic resource for getting course advice any time from now until uni graduation.

4. I consider your academic year to be over tomorrow, so this thread will unstickied and moved to Forum Games and Casual Chat (where the 2014 and 2013 threads reside). You may notice a drop in post count if you've posted in this thread, but your respect count should not change. The Class of 2016!! will be stickied thereafter.

5. If you are seeking support in the form of a chat with other AN members, this is a good port of call. There will usually be some graduated members lurking around tomorrow, I'll join once I wake up (which I can assure you, will be well after 7am hahaha).

6. If you are feeling unhappy with your results to the point where your mental health is being effected, please consider utilising some of the resources posted here, as much as we'd like you to all do well in your ATARs, we care much more for your mental well-being and safety. Look out for each other (and your friends outside of AN) during this stressful period.

7. Let's hope the site doesn't crash :P (reposting this post because I think it just did crash (again) lel)

Good luck from the AN team, may the scaling be ever in your favour :)
