Not me personally, but I know plenty of friends who are doing so.

I think it's because we're encouraged to do a 3/4 here (as long as you have the GPA required) and bio is a subject which many people can do decently well if they spend sufficient time on it without the small intake of something like MM 3/4 in Year 11 or the more difficult languages.

Also plenty of asians who don't learn a language like Chinese are also doing Bio 3/4 because they want to get 2 3/4s over and done with by end of Year 11 which is perfectly understandable in my opinion :)

45+ raw score guaranteed (or 100% refund) for 2022 Methods & Specialist (other subjects also available - classes for all) register now!

Also hiring excellent Methods, Chemistry, Physics, Biology + Specialist tutors with a passion for excellence - PM me!

We also now support Chemistry, Physics and Biology!

I won't be undertaking Biology 3&4 in 2014 but hopefully I can undertake it in 2015! I won't be doing Biology 1&2 this year because I didn't have enough subject space for it. Also it was because I thought I didn't have enough knowledge in Biology (lack of definitions and how to express myself properly I guess) which could be a weakness of mine plus after this year my friends at school can help me in Biology if I need any help LOL (vice versa for Methods).

What are you doing for preparation in doing the 3/4?
I reckon we won't be disadvantaged in terms of content since they cover Unit 1 at the start in more depth apparently. I think it's just the wording when we answer questions, we'll have lack of practice in.
Thoughts?

Nah definitely not, we wont be disadvantaged at all. Many of the students who don't do units 1&2 actually do really well. Either way, practice is only going to make us better at it :)

Well, I read over unit 3 (area of study one) and made my notes on it :)
Hopefully if I have enough time, I'll try making my notes for area of study 2 as well. Personally, I find it hard to balance my time between my 3&4 subjects..

What about you? :P

Yeah I've started with Area of Study 1, it's not going too badly, so yeah I'll probably just leave it at that. My school uses the Nelson textbook though and I've heard that it's not that great in terms of content so I might've have to find a better textbook :P The thing is though I've noticed that most of the Biol textbooks don't even have answers for self correction?? Is it just me or are they actually accessible? LOL

I'm not too sure about a solutions book, but usually our teacher provides us a word doc with the answers to all chapter questions

Edit: of course, the answers provided are the teacher's own

It's very specific, but a Bachelor of Law at Monash and then a Juris Doctor at Melbourne.

Hey, just wondering, why are you aspiring to obtain two law degrees when you can practice law with just an LLB (from Monash)?
