Is that rectangular shaped book , with questions in them?

From Key Concepts , I just did the questions at the end of each section, including the "test your knowledge" and "apply" ones. :) That's all I remember from memory .

Just curious, when did you order your textbook? Still waiting for mine...
Didn't get it from my booklist, I went to a shop and bought them all there :)

I have a transition booklet full of questions, data analysis', articles and questions that follow, I have to make cue cards of the main definitions, do all the chapter questions from 1.1-1.6 (Key Concepts book), and a few 'do more' and 'see more' activities.

How about you?

yes very similar, a lot of data and graph analysis!

Yep.
I used the trial for psychology, like, all 900 marks worth of questions but eh.

I did them before every SAC, but didn't take it very seriously . Just casually wrote answers in the book on my train rides to and from school :P
I think its good revision!

You should try to maintain A+ or at least high A's for SACS - given that you know your content well and know how to structure your answers properly, this is definitely do-able! :) However, the exam does affect your score a lot (a good exam score can pull up sac scores) as does your ranking in class (depending on what school you go to) :)

Happy to help out with; Health & HD(48), Psych(48), Qs about UniMelb Psych or MTeach courses :D

man I'm so nervous, i can't just imagine my self sitting that first sac!  My hands will be shaking.  Can anyone explain what Burden of disease means:

I know the definition…'A measure of impact of diseases and injuries, but specifically measuring the gap between the current health status and ideal situation where everyone lives to an old age free of disease and mordbidity(was it?).  Burden of disease is measure in a unit called DALY.  So burden of disease is used to measure the impact of disease and injuries or is the health status?

Also, DALY.  i don't get it either.  DALY is a measure of burden of disease- i don't get that part…..  One DALY= one year o heathy life lost due to premature death and time lived with illness, injuries and morbidity.

To the 2013 high achieving HHD students;

Did you guys do anything during the holidays for health?

Any tips on how to tackle the SACS and get through the whole year? The new text book has 11 chapters. In 1/2 I didn't really like the concept of taking notes in health, mostly because I didn't really end up using them... So I think I'll just use the TSFX notes as my notes and use the text book for questions. What did you guys do to achieve such a high result in HHD? I heard to get 46+ you need 100%

Thanks guys!
