Yo BasicAcid, I'm going with my little brother as he is apparently incompetent.  Our surname starts with P so we may see you in the Bsc thing or the Engineering Pathways but surely by that stage he will have acquired some degree of independence and allowed me to go and do my own work in the library.

1 pm: Not sure if I should go to the BBQ or Science Expo ?

I'm pretty sure the Science Expo is only half an hour, and I doubt they'll run out of snags by 1:30pm  ;D

free barbeque > everything else.

+ i promise you, you won't be following your itenary. It's kind of like, go to the first bsc intro thing, then spend the rest of AAD bumming around campus.

Don't forget to pick up your ID cards on AAD. Another day to get them is on Thursday I believe.

12-4:30pm @ Alan Gilbert Building.

I'd probably suggest they didn't come. Your parents aren't really included in your education at the university level like they are at high school, so it *may* not be received well on the day. You might also look a little bit silly amongst all the other students who have come on their own.

yeah, it was a bit odd seeing parents with their kids at AAD. It was kind of understandable at the housing/accommodation info part but other than that, prolly best to keep them away.
(the housing info session is useless btw)

Yeah, they take your photo with a webcam and make your ID cards right away. The process takes about two minutes. It's probably wise to do it not on AAD/during O week though because the line will stretch half way across campus. They'll be making ID cards pretty much every day from now, so just pop in any other way and there won't be a line.

Thanks Stick. I just thought we might need guardian's signature for stuff and forms etc.
Do we need any identification stuff?

Thanks scribble. 2 minutes.... that's quick ! So where is the location for getting ID card? Once I get my ID card, I think I can apply for tertiary level concession card.
