just finished watching The Water Diviner and I'm really depressed rn damn that was just sad.
Great movie though - a few pot holes in story line/ accuracy of time and a fairly cliche storyline but Im still really sad
Like yr 12 wasnt depressing enough so I had to go and watch that damn movie
Fuck you english your eyebrows aren't even good

oh...ive never even heard of that movie...
i would suggest refraining from depressing things- year 12 is semi depressing in itself
just think about chocolate- that always cheers me up haha  :)

Ah - hopefully you recover soon bubs! Btw why do you feel like you're falling behind on holiday hw! You have more than half of your holidays left, surely you shouldn't be covered in that much hw :O (are you?) - Just breathe, eat (hehe eating is me stress outlet) and work through things logically :D

thank you xxx
and yeah I have very little holiday homework but I had a shit first term and really had to catch up. behind on bio questions and summaries, behind on chem summaries and had to revise for a test, had holiday hw for chem, have to study for further sac in three weeks but have done jack all term.. failing englang and really meant to practice and work these holidays.. Probably had work to do but forgotten it.. have not touched spesh all year and really regretting it, haven't opened my textbook and stressing out :'(

Idk why I just ranted so much lol but parents say I can't work til Sunday at least.. Scared as. Atm I'm literally just eating, can't read or watch movies or TV, can't go out, no one at home talks to me much, no one else is coming to see me.. depressing life.. food is great, if mum weren't trying to feed me vegetables all day.. miss my pizza and chocolate whoever mentioned that :(

And also dose up on the painkillers  8)
Hope you feel better soon :) I'd offer words of wisdom about keeping up with work...but after I had my shoulder surgery done in the middle holidays last year I just set up a mattress and mound of pillows in the lounge room and watched Mary Poppins and the Sound of Music on repeat :P

yeah will do! and I relate on a spiritual level except I can't see.. :D

wishing you a speedy and smooth recovery, all the best

hope you feel better soon :)

If it helps I'm extremely behind on my uni work and we go back on Monday hahah

Don't despair about your holiday homework -- there is still time. Sometimes the best of us do it all on the Sunday night before school starts...

no pls try not to do this

thanks heaps!!  :-*
hahaha not helping but is reassuring! ;) will hopefully be able to work next week, definitely going to be some casualties.. :(

Chocolate and pizza are the best stress-foods ever.

Also to the person who just had surgery whose post I can't find to quote atm: It's okayyyy. You've still got heaps of time and the rest of us are just doing it the weekend before school starts anyway so you're defs not behind. :D

haahaha reassuring, thank you, but just.. so much catch up.. feel so insanely behind because I was before holidays started and haven't caught up yet you know? hoping things pick up a little though.. thank you <3

idk if I missed people's posts I can hardly see but thanks to everyone for the good wishes, love you fam xx

I have so much respect for kids who do spec in Year 12. How do you guys actually manage the workload? I mean I did spec in Year 11; if I had done it in year 12 on top of 4 other subjects, I think I would have lost my sanity ages ago...

Is englang hard? Is it different from mainstream English? I've always wanted to know... I do mainstream English (my school only offers Mainstream English and Literature and the former is compulsory).

Eating is life. As I speak, I'm munching on some cucumber. My mother just went and bought 10kg of cucumber this morning. The sad thing is I've eaten through about 1/4 of that already because I can't cook.

Things will pick up. And silver lining: Only 2/3 of Year 12 left and then FREEEEEDOOMMMMM! And then uni but let's ignore that.

I've started compiling a list of things I'm going to do post-year 12. My list looks something like this:
1. Sleep.
2. Eat.
3. Learn to cook.
4. Sleep.
5. Sleep some more.

I'm seriously so excited for year 12 to be over. I'm done with the competition and all of the fake friends constantly backstabbing and talking behind my back and comparing their marks to mine as though I'm the person to beat.

Wow. That ended up to be quite the rant... Soz fam.

Yeah. I get what you mean with the whole feeling behind thing. We're here for you if you need.

I have the same questions about Eng Lang. Sometimes I regret choosing English (I love the subject but my God it is difficult and exasperating)

The thing about sleep is that I can get enough sleep - but I choose not to. I have no idea why but I stay up for no reason (like watching the Water Diviner... its a great movie tbh you should all watch it. R.C has done an excellent job providing an alternative but  accurate depiction of the impact that the battle has had on wider society. The more I think of it the better it gets) - but yeah my body refuses to let me sleep.

And I'm soo ready for year 12 to be over. Like I'm just over this constant feeling of being on the edge, never relaxed. It's like "oh if i dont do well then gg med @ monash" and sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo               grrr..

My list comprises of:
1. The things im doing rn but without feeling guilty ;P
2. Maybe get back into professional gaming - that was fun and life was easy back then, it was just play a game: win or lose. No damn english essays which completely haunt your dreams and sacs where you can barely make sense of your arguments :(
Fuck you english your eyebrows aren't even good

also just a PSA for the Year 12s:

don't take this year for granted! It's an incredible experience and you'll never get to do it again, nor will you feel that cool again (trust me)

I love where I am now but sometimes I miss being in VCE and being at school in general. You're probably starting to feel the pressure now but do your best and love the work. It will be an unforgettable year if you let it, and the best is yet to come. I sound like a teacher but the last thing you want when it's over are regrets. Seriously evaluate where you're at now -- ask yourself if you're giving it your all or if you need to lift your game. It's also meant to be a lot of fun so don't lock yourself up in your room all the time if you've been doing that. You'll never have an experience like this with a group of people ever again.

Cherish the school experience while it lasts. I really hated it at the time but I look back on all the hard work fondly now and wish I had done more of it, or spread it out better amongst my subjects.

Take all the opportunities given to you -- participate in everything you can or have interest in. When you're done, you'll be proud of what you achieved in spite of all the pressure or if you don't do as well as you hoped.

You'll do a lot of growing up this year, and a lot will change. You'll remember the good and the bad times long after your results are released. You'll forget your SAC averages and maybe even your ATAR, but you will remember your personal growth and experiences for a long time.

Year 12 isn't everything (there are always other pathways etc) but it's definitely significant.

Make the most of it.
^^so agree with this omg

it doesn't feel like a friday though cos i had a test last period (i still have one more week of school :(  ) but it was accounting so should be 100% (hopefully).
i had 3 tests in a period (technically 4 period, cos one was a study period) day :(
One. More. Week.... then i get holidays...

accounting went well- should be a 100%
my holiday plans are gonna go as far as studying...i did realy bad in my physics test- my average used to be 90, its definitely not anymore :( so now i have to bring that back up...i hate it the way one test that could possibly be worth like 5-7% has the ability to bring ur mark down by 15%  :-[

Don't worry about scores that you can't change  because there are so many more productive things you could do

Doing rather well in my classes actually. Homework is going alright too and I'm hoping to have some downtime later this week before school begins again. Still stressed af though over the amount of notes I need to write especially for history. I regret not compiling these throughout the term.
