I'll definitely be trying to do that. I'm trying to get my sleeping back on track, eat a better diet, exercise. I was just wondering if anyone has any studying tips? I'm hopeless with that at the moment, I know my study habits weren't effective last year.

motivation/10
just curious, what score range do you define as shitty? <30 or <40? interested to know!

Like she went from a 31 in Geography ( ? can't remember entirely ) back in year 11 too a a high 40 in english and a 50 ( or close ) in biology. All the other subjects were mid 40s as well.
Sorry but I don't talk about vce to my sister much so i just know relative ranges of her score, she did get a 99.6 atar but I don't kow specifics.

Either way, I can assure you she is not naturally smart or anything, she just put in the hours after term 1 and her scores skyrocketed.

On the actual topic - good luck to everyone starting back tomorrow. Only two more full terms remaining until you're preparing for exams. Time goes quick! If you haven't already, make a start on a exam revision booklet that contains summaries and quick guides. If it's a content-heavy subject such as HHD, write up a glossary of definitions. If it's a maths subject, plenty of worked examples and formulas.

All the best for another great term.

most of it came from exams hahaha
I love the fact that VCE allows us to make mistakes early in the year, like you can mess up a few sacs badly but if you pull yourself through by exam time... you can pretty much make up for all of it :P

woowww!
Assuming there is more then one exam per subject AKA midyears?
I would freak doing a 75% exam. Even though ours are worth 60% it doesn't feel as bad :P

yeah there are mid years (school based) , end of years (school based) and then the WACE exams (your VCE exam equivalent since I'm doing west-australian certificate of education...you get the jist haha)...so doing well on exams has the power to completely change where your ATAR is headed- so thats kinda where its at  :)

on the other hand you can stuff up your exams and ruin everything

stay on top of stuff guys and revise often so you don't need to relearn later like I did
as everyone says practise questions are the best revision so get on that now
start timing yourself in mid to late term 3 and make sure you can finish an exam and do your best work under pressure

Been back to back drowning in physics SACs. Had to do a physics SAC for class in Week 6. Right after we finished that, my physics teacher gave us another. And we finished up that SAC on Wednesday and guess who started another physics SAC today?  >:(

My goal for life after VCE atm: To never do physics SACs ever again.
