Regarding the graphs and relations questions, I think 1e and d something. The one where you had to write what equation A was, I wrote it in a different form as y=. Would I still get the mark? Also, for the question where it is all intergers along the line I only did points (3000,1000) and (1000,3000). From memory this was out of 2 marks, think I will get any?

That should be fine, as long as you included an equal sign, not an inequality sign.
You'll probably get 1 mark for that question.

I thought there was just one point we were meant to show for graphs and relations. How come it's the whole line if there is only one minimum??

There is only one minimum, you're correct. However, anything along that line produced that minimum (because had a gradient of -1).
Try to add the points along the line together (x and y coordinates, that is). They all add to 4000.

The table you use to calculate this value states that the variable "population" is in thousands, therefore it should be assumed that any predictions made would be talking about thousands of people. Multiplying it would not appear to be correct to me
i used it to predict the next answer and got it right, does this help at all?

You'll get the mark for the prediction but I don't know about the equation. The usual practice is to multiply so it's of the correct order (thousands or hundreds or so on) after the prediction is made.

I wrote "weak, negative correlation between x and y" but forgot to add "linear", would that still be 1/2 marks? for core

And is it just me, or is graphs and relations screwed up? Or did I forget to answer an entire section? I don't remember any elephants

If you didn't include linear, you haven't technically answered the 'form' part of the question.

They don't give out 1/2 marks to my knowledge, but I'm unsure. Unfortunately, I think it'd be 0 marks :(

Yes! Building on from last year's difficult last question, this year was no better. Another 'show the points' question, and linear programming as the first question? They're crazy. At leats you didn't have to draw any graphs :)

There weren't elephants in Graphs and relations. They were in some other modules (like number patterns).

Half marks are not usually awarded.

Fixed, the number patterns solutions had been pasted in their place

For Business Related Question 2ci (the questions about $750 cricket equipment) Was it asking for the value of the equipment after one year or ten years? I calculated using 10 years, I hope I didn't fall for such a rookie mistake!

Core
2. b)
Are any marks lost for not showing/labelling two points? All I did was just draw in the least squares regression line.

Graphs and Relations
1. d)i)

If I remember correctly, I wrote down the equation of the line as 0.02x + 0.06y >= 120, instead of 0.02x + 0.06y = 120. Would I also lose a mark for that?

can someone explain module 3 1.ei) please
why isnt it 200 because its already in kg in the formulas they give you on the left page, its just on a larger scale when graphed

For the core question were we had to draw the regression line on the scatterplot did we have to label the two points, i just drew the line however i did write the points i used in brackets right underneath the question, will i get the mark?

yes i was always told that you have to include the two points

It is recommended as this is required in higher levels of maths but it has never actually been a requirement for marks for further maths.

So are we going with the form being linear? Seems there is just as little evidence supporting both.

Not sure why Vcaa put things like that in, comes down to people's opinions instead of actual maths.

Lets ah.. never speak about english again?

Because it was talking about an r value, and r only applies to linear graphs, it can probably be assumed that it was linear, just very weak

Geo trig question 3c

I'm not sure how the answer can be 761, myself and several others found it to be 785
