The question was in relation to obesity......., i just simply stated that access to health care is an issue in developing countries more than developed countries, so individuals who are obese in developing countries have less opportunity to treat there disease etc, in comparison to developed countries! i hope that pulls me a mark, i was a bit lost for that question!

I said that developing nations would have less income than developed nations to purchase medical technologies needing to treat obesity, leading to worse outcomes for obese people in developing nations compared to developed nations.

I also didn't like that question - I left it until last.

It did - I believe you could only use alcohol or fast foods as your examples of global marketing as these could increase obesity risk due to their high energy content.

I heard from an examiner that the highest he's ever marked was 95/100. They got a 50. Don't worry about it too much, I think we all succumbed to the stress a little bit.

Yea I think with awesome sac results, you can afford to lose about 6 marks to 50 health. I think about 20 people get 50 each year. And even if you don't, 40+ is still a really hood score.

Hey, after my English exam I was like 'fuck yes no more essays ever again', but after my health exam I was feeling a bit emotional, health was an awesome subject, and my cohort and teacher was so great. I'm gonna miss health :"(
2013-2014:| VCE
2015-2018:| Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) @ UoM
2019-X:| Doctor of Dental Surgery (discontinued)
2019 -2021:| Master of Physiotherapy

Currently: Physiotherapist working at a musculoskeletal clinic. Back pain, sore neck, headaches or any other pain limiting your study? Give me a PM (although please do see your personal health professional first!)

Any questions related to pathways towards studying dentistry or physiotherapy? Gimmi a PM!

Yeah I know that feeling. I started VCE with my HHD teacher because I had her for Food Tech, so I've really gotten to know her quite well these past few years. Her classes and my class were the best.

it asked for something about what do developing countries experience that developed countries don't. i said they're not educated on processed foods, alcohol and tobacco hence they consume it-->obesity.

I actually lost heaps of marks, i just know it :'(. There should've been more interrelationship questions. I did the DFAT questions relating/linking to their priorities :(

I think it's best that you don't think about all this! It's stressing your out, what's done is done. You can't change anything.

Also, remember its HHd, so there may be more than one approach to answering a question, your approach could have also been correct.

It's stressing me out too. I reckon I've lost heaps of marks all over the place ahahaa. Far out. Look, I think some of the questions were slightly more ambiguous than others, so I think there's room for lots of different answers.

(on another note)

I'm curious to hear opinions about the A+ cut-off for this years exam. At least with all my peers we were all really a mixed bag in terms of what we thought of the exam. Half of us thought the exam was easy and short, the other half *including me* thought it was longer and slightly more challenging than practice papers and previous VCAA ones.

I spoke to my health teacher who thought the exam was slightly more difficult and content heavy than last years. Who knows really what will happen, but I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks the cut off will be for this year.

I think it will probably stay at what it was last year, 74% (I think), maybe a bit lower.

For some reason, most years the HHD exam cut-off for an A+ remains at or around the 75% range - the past few years have been like that and I'm guessing this year will be similar (Unless they decide to make minor changes due to it being the new study design...but I don't think they will! :) ). But I haven't really seen the exam so who knows what it could be! :P In any case, I hope all of you get the awesome marks you truly deserve! :D

Also, don't worry too much about having lost marks here and there (you can only actually guess or assume that you lost marks, but there isn't a set format or "set answer" for any Q in the exam - so chances are, you'll do better than you think and that the VCAA assessor(s) marking your paper - I hope you all get angelic assessors who are kind - will see the light and train of thought within your answers :) Like i wrote so much crap for the ottawa charter enabling, mediating, advocating Q back in 2011 and was sure I wouldn't get any marks for it...but in the end it didn't totally stuff me over! :) so hey if you've written something, you're very likely to get marks for it so be positive :D).

Personally, i felt that this year's exam was quite strange like some of the questions were really unexpected. Though i feel this years exam was harder than other years. I really hope the A+ cutoff is lowered or stays the same. PLS. I do agree, this years exam was very content heavy.
