question 27 interquartile

i got 36 because

q3 = 172 and q1 = 136

Hey! Seems like our answers are only 1cm off; Because I was reading the paper off my computer, it was harder to see exactly where the lines on the graph were. You'd get the mark either way!

Can someone explain Q17? It says how much compound interest is she charged, not the total amount charged? Wouldn't it be A (or B, not sure lol but -780 the one you have)

I might have more questions yet so dont go too far! :D

youknowwho

for 30 c) why is it 1767-997, that shape was a triangle so wouldn't it be  1/2 X 45 X 45 X sin100

also is 28a 4/37 because 33 silver coins were picked with 4 gold coins meaning theres a total of 37 coins?

You are absolutely right. Far out. I was 100% tricked by that; will change now. Great spot!

Hey Hayden! Thanks for the post, and welcome to the forums; I think we've already fixed both of these issues, but let me know if we haven't! I smashed out the answers so quickly that issues were always going to arise, congratulations on spotting them! Also, I have to say, the method you used to answer that angle question is really, really nice,

Thanks mate,
It's pretty hard to do some questions in the exam without a calculate so you learn to take new approaches 😊

Wouldnt question 7 be A and not B as categorical nominal is the one you can't put in order e.g dog, cat, rabbit, and categorical ordinal is the one you can put in order e.g small medium large ?

And for question 26.) b, wouldnt the answer be
1x over 3y to the power of -4 and not 1x over 3y to the power of 4 ? As you were supposed to do 1-5 to the y's power and not 5-1, because y to the power of 1 is at the top and y to the power of 5 is the denominator?

Just really curious cause thats what i put in for my answers :)

Hey! 21 definitely may be D, I have no idea how to do those kinds of questions. As for 23, I think that's debatable; I understood the question to be a smoker OR male, not male AND a smoker. So, you take the probability of being a male non-smoker and a female-smoker. Really not sure what they intended with that question, but I went with a strict reading of OR.

isnt it 68+88+176 divided by 485 = 68%?

(just to clarify, I'm not saying im right pls correct if wrong ty)

For 36e, would you not have to add four weeks pay on top of the holiday loading?

28eii. are you sure that's right? I got (10x15x3)-(pi x 2.5^2 x 3) x 12 = 193cm^3 - correct me if im wrong thanks !!

30bii. for this question, shouldnt it be [3072 x 1024 x 1024]/8 --> then with that you divide by 1000 x 1000 to get it to mb instead of MB, and then also shouldn't you divide what you get from that by /7 and then by /60 to get it to minutes? so the answer should be like 1mbps i think

are these wrong or right, im pretty sure they're right tho

For 7, again I'm not sure; this isn't something I've studied in depth, and a quick google made me think the answer was small/medium/large. If we get some general consensus, I'll change the answer!

As for 26 b), y to the negative 4 is the same as one on y to the four! So our answers are actually the same :)
