would a SSC of 43 be pushing it?
I heard from my teacher that the standard deviation for further maths is 6. So if the average is 30 and you want a 42, you have to be in the top 2.5% but with the amount of marks you lost, I don’t think that’s possible, so it’s probably pushing it.

Good point, I can't remember the question well, then I guess both are technically right if you're using any of the values you are given?

I've got a copy of the paper. It says 'Using this value of 2.85, calculate the expected area...' so the only accepted answer I believe will be 708.

Matrices
             Q1a  159
b  number of rolls sold in week 2
                  ci a=$4.65  b=$4.20  c= $3.80
                   ii [0 1 1 ]
                2a  40%
                  b   0.4, 0.6, 0.2
                  c   516
                3a  320
                   b  250,250,300, 200.
                   c 25%
                   d 250

Geometry and Trigonometry
                1ai  760
                    ii  4536
                   b   80cm
                 2a   10pm Wednesday
                   bi  193m
                     ii  015T
                   c    4681km
                   d    4524 km
                 3a    cos-1(50^2+50^2-65^2/2x50x50) = 81 degrees
                   b     438m
                   c     153m

with geometry 2d, I got 9048km? I don't have the questions on me (so can't remember exactly) but isn't it the great circle distance again, because the two cities are on a great circle so pi x 6400 x 81 /180

also, If I dropped 1 mark on exam 1 and between 1-3 on exam 2, with sacs at around 97/100, would high 40s still be possible?

I stuffed up the question relating to 1.5% interest, if I used 1.5/12 *100 instead, would I be able to receive consequential marks for that question or no?

Exam 1: Dropped 1
Exam 2: Dropped 3-4
Rank 1: 100% sacs

What would my study score be? I was a little disappointed with exam 2

For Matrices q2c, would i get full marks for stating the no. of students in each of the subjects, rather than state 750?

Your answers for Geometry could not be more wrong, might want to read the question more carfully.

Sadly, likely not, as the question was specifically asking for the total number of junior students expected to participate.

I'm with you, I got 9048km as well. Plus in exactly the same boat! Average of 97, 1 mark lost on exam 1 and predicting around 0-3 on exam 2. I'm hoping for a 45+ raw score which I hope is possible providing I didn't lose any more than 3 marks on exam 2 which I doubt. With such a high SAC average (not perfect but only worth like 34% of the total) I think it's possible. As soon as you start losing more than 1 mark on exam 2 though it will probably drop your study score by around 1 per mark lost, or thereabouts.

ahh I hope so, If 9048 is right then I only lost between 1-2 (not sure about the surface area of the box including the lid or not, I've seen mixed answers), so hoping that'll be enough for a 45+
