What do people think the A+ cutoff will be?

Also -7-k would get a mark wouldn't it...

well people said that this yrs paper is harder than last yr..so the A+ cutoff could be around 30-31 out of 40....i lost so many marks due to stupid mistakes...i feel so depressed

Last year's was definitely harder in terms of conceptual understanding, this year's was only harder than 06/07 because of the many questions in which it was so easy to make stupid errors, like the dy/dx with k in it and solving for gradient produced many errors.

Heres to hoping a 34-35 will get me low A+ or better, wateva.

I hope so too, a low-mid A+ should be okay. But stupid errors in working cost me dearly!  :'(

Well to make you feel better, I incorrectly factorised 4-x^2 into (4-x)(4+x) and screwed my whole integral for q 8 :(
And, and, I forgot the 2/pi in the last question for part B, I just left it out....completely
I lost all my marks on.....mistakes, makes me feel so good that I fukn cant do grade 10 stuff but did the hard stuff ><><

omg i feel for u too, i made the exact same (4-x^2) expansion... been beating myself for the past few hours coz of this. after checking the solutions, i made 4 of the most silly mistakes in 4 questions... and i knew how to do all of them =[ hopefully they only take 1 off for each. In that vector question i wrote 3 x 1 = 1.. and screwed up the parallel vector. would i get full consequential marks for the perpendicular? coz i carried it on from the parallel 1.

Why oh why wouldn't they ask us to explicitly find 'k'. I know it's implied and I'm not disputing that. But what is wrong in telling students that they have to find k. Even after people were told a lot of people didn't know how to do it suggesting that some people would still have problems; the only conclusion is that they were testing awareness of previous questions which is fair enough but I'm just distraught about that.

As for A+, I found it easier than '08 but probs slightly harder than '07. I'd guess at around 35-36 again.

i agree, they shudv TOLD us to find the value of k, but they did kinda make it sorta.....obvious...oh man i wish i found the value of k
they also didnt give too much space for that 'k' question, otherwise i might hav picked it up...

I did it like:

=50*9.8
=50(9 + .8)
=50(9 + 4/5)
=50*9 + (4/5)*50
=450 + 40
=490

But I think you would lose a mark considering the explicit 'to the nearest newton'.
