^ Your grade might go up or down in moderation. At the moment, it's not really worth worrying about.

How do you work out what scores are needed in an exam for a particular mark.If its from the graphs and tables on vcaa website, how do you read them.

They usually divide the grade distinctions in accordance with brackets of 10%. For example, the top 10% will receive A+, the next 10% will receive A and so on. It's not always exactly 10%, but it will always be somewhere in that range.

Ok so for methods for instance, How much out of 40 would u need in exam 1 and how much out of 80 do u need in exam 2 to get say a study score of 45 raw

Well it would depend on the overall performance of the cohort in any given year. Especially for a subject like methods where the difficulty of the exams from year to year can vary incredibly, there can be huge variances in grade distributions from year to year. You would never be able to anticipate what score out of 40 or 80 would be needed to achieve a certain grade in any given year. You can only make assumptions based on previous years.

Eg in methods in 2006 (the year I did it) someone lost 3 marks over both exams and got 45, someone else lost 3 marks as well over both and got 44. THe 2006 exams were easy
2007 was harder and you could lose more to get same study score. I don't know actual numbers because I have no personal interest in knowing them :P

but what about vis comm. I mean the SATS/SACS are worth 66% while the exam is only worth 33%. How can the exam moderate the SATS when clearly their weighting is much greater?

Hard exam or dumb cohort: take your pick.

I'd tend 2 lean 2wards a hard exam.
Have u looked @ last year's exam paper yet?
Perhaps it's à la methods exam '07.
