if we were compared to the rest of the country, and the whole of aus had the same curriculum, i would assume our scores would be similar, perhaps higher...
i would like to think we average higher than a few of the other states (NT, WA & SA.. possibly TAS).

yes, i think vic and nsw are probebly the more competitive states (generally)

Not many people want/need to study interstate so its not necessary. Plus factor in the administration and it'd be a nightmare. We'd have to wait even longer for results.

yeah there wouldn't be too many people. it's generally those who want to go do high degrees like med, law or BPh (at ANU), ect.

ENTER! :)
just a question, if the lowest VCE score possible is 0.05 (correct me if i'm wrong), meaning that the person who achieved that is better than 0.05% of the state?! O.O It doesn't make any sense to me!

NT's scores are lumped together with SA because there are so few NT peeps (my friend came second in NT in 2005 with a TER of 99.70).

Yeah but I think if there was a national curriculum people would be more encouraged to go interstate. Right now it's a quite a hassle because of the different systems.

Not as big a hassle as you might think. A national curriculum would just save a couple of lessons at the beginning of a first year course, where the lecturer isn't sure of what background a student might have, so has to do an overview of all the basics - e.g. in maths, NSW don't cover matrices in the slightest, so they always have to catch up compared to, say, SA students, who have a pretty thorough grounding in them.
In any case, there'd always be international kids/IB kids who'd also have a different background too. So it's pretty unavoidable.

I don't think it is possible to get 0.05 as an ENTER, as it is a rank in your whole age group, it counts those(8-10% I think) who drop out. So, from my understanding, it is impossible for anyone who has completed VCE to achieve an ENTER of less than ~8.00-10.00.

^ it is possible by only doing 4 subjects and not attending any of the exams or not writing on your paper for your subjects, and getting very low sac scores but still passing vce...

i thought if you got less than 20.00 as an ENTER they dont tell you your exact ENTER? (unless maybe you specifically ask? tho why someone would ask what there ENTER was if they didnt even try AND got below 20 is beyond me.) IDK for sure, im just saying what i thought...
