haha seems like my view is the universal view.
i guess im ok at it, but just don't feel confident when doing it coz u might think its a masterpiece and then the teacher says its crap

xD that happens heaps for me. Like not the teacher saying it is crap part, but when I look at the same piece 3-4 months later, I cringe at how crap it is.
yeh except you aare like a genius

I lost 5 marks on a SAC for Methods; might have got 50 if I didn't lose marks on the exam. They want consistently good performance for high 40s and then the mistakes separate you into the 46, 47 etc.
Raw Scores:
Psychology 50 | Mathematical Methods 49 | Further Mathematics 49 | Accounting 49 | Chemistry 44 | English 43
ATAR: 99.75

is it interesting?
i'm kinda interested in it but the whole 6-10yrs to become fully qualified doesnt really interest me?

It's going okay, but seeing I didn't do Spesh Maths, I'm not doing actual Actuarial subjects until second year.

After 3 years, you do Honours and then get a job. So you'll be working and passing exams to get qualified. That'd take about 2-4 years after getting a job. So I guess it's okay...not as bad as Med, apparently that's 6 years of study plus another 5 or 6 for specialisation.

haha more like 12~15 years studying, if you're lucky, to become a specialist.

So at the moment I've lost four marks total from both accounting SAC's (lost 2 on the first and 2 on the second) I've had and am ranked #1, still possibility for a 45+?

definitely, you can still get 50....
people need to realise that losing marks a couple of marks on SACs doesn't affect your chances of getting an amazing score, smash the exam have a solid/good as sac mark and high 40's is definitely in reach.

You only need to be in the top 5-10 (depending on school) for SACs to have a chance of getting 50.

so you can get a job after your honors year? (4 years)
why does it take 2-4yrs after that to sit your part 3 exams, do you continue studying while you work?

I see. Say for Methods you have an ok ranking say 4-5th, but you blitz the exam, is a 50 or a 45+ grade still possible?
a guy was ranked 13th in our school and ended up with 47
How do you define stuffing up in a SAC, like 70% or less?

if your talking about the year we did it in TT the two ppl that got 47 were ranked =5th and =7th. i know cos one of them was me;) and the other was my friend

I actually reackon sacs can have a pretty big impact on your score. Another friend of mine also at scotch and even in our class TT only lost 1.5 marks all up in the end of years and got a 45 cos he screwed up one sac. He was ranked in the high teens/low twenties if i remember correctly

he was obviously joking, of course it's possible, getting 16/25 for one sac obviously doesn't mean that much.
