Context.  I find text response most natural, and language analysis is just formulaic.

couldn't agree more

Text response = knowledge of text/proving your contention via evidence/two topics
Language Analysis = Everything is right in front of you/3 simple techniques (analyse technique, what this does, how it affects the reader)
Context = 1 prompt/must adjust to it (extremely difficult for creative writer's like myself who have left it too late to change to persuasive and expo.)

so yep... context will be the death of me!

Context.

There's just too much freedom... you don't know if you're doing it the right way, or the wrong way. Or a way that scores a higher mark.

I dunno, I haven't put in enough work I think - too much distraction, sigh.

Also, I reckon scoring well in ANY VCE exam isn't really entirely based on ability - it's also about luck and on-the-day performance, as well as how well it all "clicks" in terms of the exam content.

Context is the most difficult IMO. And I agree that it's just too general - I'll be haunted by self-doubt over that part of the exam...
English: 46 / Literature: 42 / Legal: 40 / Methods: 37 / Spec: 33 / Chem: 31 (I regret doing this subject!)

ATAR = 97.10

Agreed.
I spent 3 hours on a essay .. full planned it out ... took my time . checked it 100 times..
handed it in to teacher .. she said it was complete SHIT .. i got approx 20/50 for it

Then did one at 2.30 am .. no planning .. was falling sleep ... She gave me 49/50 and it became a sample perfect for all the other classes..

Fml .... so inconsistent .. this happens all the time

“Though Cosi is a comedy, the real massgaes are deeply significant” discuss.

Cosi is a semiautobiographical play written by Louis Nowra in the 1970s. It is a play that captures the world of Cosi Fan Tutte, an opera written by Mozart. Cosi is a drama about an inexperienced director, Lewis, who chooses to gain experience in directing a play with mental patients from a Melbourne Institution. Through the farce and comedy of Cosi, there are controversial messages which are deeply significant to modern audiences. Nowra displays his opinion through his characters as they are placed in dilemmas and difficult situations throughout the plot of the play.

Cosi was written in the era when hippies began influencing Melbourne with its concept of free love. They taught that love was something to give everyone and rejected the idea of commitment and loyalty. Cosi condemns those who do not believe that relationships require fidelity and commitment. Lucy, Lewis’ girlfriend does not believes in free love which results in the breakdown of their relationship. Lucy claims that they are “not married” so it is acceptable to “have sex with” his friend and to “sleep with” him because they are different things. Lewis concludes that “as both [Nick and Lucy] were not into fidelity.” Nowra expresses his idea that partners who do not show their commitment to one another will not have long lasting relationships. He describes the significance of fidelity as an essential aspect in everyday relations.

I generally get the lowest score for text response out of the three sections, so I guess that is my weakest.
2009: History: Revolutions [42], Mathematical Methods [39]

2010: French [39], Chemistry [44], Physics [40], English [49], Specialist Mathematics [38]

ATAR: 99.60

2011: Bachelor of Commerce (Economics/Finance) @ Unimelb
