This year our dux got 99.95 (David Ren) and our proxime accessit got 99.8

Not too bad.

Our school's dux is pretty low compared to many of the other schools.

My schools' dux last year like I said was 98.2, but I found out the highest ever was 99.2. I guess I'm the new one now.

Bit harsh on our school, last year's DUX was 97.3. This year's top three scores were: 98.75,98.70,98.5. To add to that, the guy who got 98.70, well his brother developed cancer when he was entering year 12. I am sure this affected his ATAR severely. I know if I was in that situation I would almost totally drop school for a long period of time, I would be surprised if he didn't as well.

To be honest, I think our school has excellent teachers, just the ratio of academic students to VCAL/bludgers is fairly low!

My old school had a dux who was 96.something - bomb. Apparently there were only two other students (out of about 330) who got over 90. Top score for Spesh was 28.

^^ At a school ~5 mins from mine, the previous record Dux was like 97.xx. This year, a girl got 99.8, this is pretty impressive no matter what school you go to imo, proof that a low ATAR is not your school's fault, if you apply yourself and are hungry enough, you will get into your dream course.

FWIW thushan, I know a kid in like year 9 at Scotch. Absolute faggot lol.
