Yes, this is the environment we're trying to create. If you want to hold us (that includes admins and mods) on some kind of pedestal, go ahead, but I am not some kind of aloof robot who doesn't have emotions and ideas. Sorry for being human. :\

^ I hate this pedestal shit. Not saying it applies to you the mods here or any mod, but sometimes I feel like the VN community is either filled with sycophants or people whose egos have been boosted by sycophants.

And then there are the people who jump on the bandwagon and allow things like this to explode into a huge public issue that suddenly becomes "famous" for a few days on the forum. A discussion about the Water Cooler has turned into a "WAS TRUELIGHT VICTIMISED?" debate, when really we're just intruding on what seems to be a developing personal dissatisfaction between the parties of enwiabe/ninwa and truelight. Sure, stick up for people in the forum when it seems right but this is totally exaggerated side-taking when it seems to be something between two people. The actual discussion about the merit of the Water Cooler thread/s being moved has actually dissipated into discussions about which user was right/wrong, although perhaps the first 2 pages still retained some reasonable debate.

EDITT:// I forgot to mention that jumping on the bandwagon is done just so these people can look good or appear responsible or wise when they're just following a general consensus or the opinion of a well-respected mod.

It's a "scuffle" like Cianyx said. Big whoop. If those three aren't over it by now, this hype we're providing isn't helping LOL. And puhlease, one minor debate between the three becomes a microcosm for the greater issue of "being treated rightly and with respect?". People disagree, people get annoyed when they disagree, people kiss and make up later.

I have learnt to judge people in a case by case basis in VN debates. In one instance someone may totally piss me off, but i'll side with them in another thread if I find their post agreeable. I'm sure truelight will feel no adverse effects from his confrontation with some mods. Exactly as iffets said.

That being said it is funny (irony tickles my funny bone) that a thread explaining a way to attract new members degenerates into a scuffle.

I read somewhere else where you explained how you love to debate with hard logic and reason but it got to the point where the other person felt bullied just as now. IMO I think its just a case of hardcore 2strong debating :/

They weren't debating at the begining of the thread. TrueLight simply appeared annoying to them, and enwiabe and ninwa went on the assault, ridiculing him for being lazy, making reference to the fact he has a university degree (and is so lazy and silly/stupid/whatever).

The manner in which they responded to him was simply inapporpriate. enwiabe and ninwa acknowledged it was a little overboard and a knee jerk reaction.

Other people jump in to say it was justified, that nothing was done wrong. Off we go again.

Yes, everything is good now.  We've established from ages ago that some people (even admins and mods, gasp!) on this forum can be quite vocal or aggressive in their debating style.  We've also established that a lot of people have a variety of beliefs on VCENotes/ATARNotes members and staff in general.  Interesting, but completely off-topic - if someone really wants to talk about this or feels like they have something new and profound to contribute, maybe make a new thread!

I feel sorry for Truelight and agree with Shinny. I would have offered comment too but enwiabe intimidated me with his "No-one else is complaining...". I also made the point in some other Teen language is destroying English or whatever that people are fucking lazy, to the point of seconds. Its human nature. Yes this change is annoying, yes it has to be done, yes I really don't care, move on. Its gone on way too far.
