Atleast 3 hours, hopefully touching 4 hours with 50 minute sessions with 10 minutes break between each session.

Exactly my way of doing things. It makes me stick to a deadline and helps me get things done within a time frame (like an exam).

It really doesn't depend on how many hours of homework you do, but how efficiently you use the time. Some days I would spend 3 hours or more doing homework while at the same time listening to music and chatting on msn, and I can safely say that the days which I spent only an hour doing homework without a computer were more beneficial.

Time isn't the key factor, it's what you do in the time that counts.

Having said that I did waste a lot of time on the days which I did absolutely nothing xD

Will any of your 3-4 hours studying/hw be spent during spares at school?? If not i think that it may be a bit excessive - in the aspect that you will be churning out 3-4 hours of study most school days, not to mention the amount you will do on weekends. IMO you will get burnt out before the first term finishes (a bit of an exaggeration) and one question i'll ask is, is it necessary to spend that amount of time everyday?? I understand if you have a SAC in the coming days but for your daily study routine...

That's what I am hoping to do. My main problem is procrastination, but I'm going to try to set up a good study area before school starts up. My plan is to write up exactly what I want done each night and ticking it off as I go.

But then again, it's quality not quantity that matters

Yeah I find little psychological strategies (i.e. ticking off lists, etc.) help heaps for procrastination.

Whenever your a little low on motivation, tricking yourself like that goes a long way.

I'll be studying/doing homework for about an average of 2 or 3 hours a week. Hopefully I can get work done in spares and just chill out after school on most days.

I think she means 2 or 3 hours a week. "Chill out after school on most days" gives it away.

Most people really don't need that much, if they are efficient in what they do..

I studied for about 3 hours per day, but could have done the same amount of study in around 2 hours if I'd been more efficient. I liked studying slowly though.
