But I feel so guilty when I pick up fresher kids ;)

(also, I'm not an alcoholic, I can't go on eng camp)

I am concerned about your apparent morality. Why do you still have such a thing?

Yeah I really don't like partying, I just accepted a job offer for Friday nights and Saturday nights only.
Sadlife.

Good thing the big nights at uni are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday! ;)

Eng camp is where you measure how much you drink in kegs rather than bottles.

Oh and when they say it's "the best way to meat some new people", that's not a typo.

I am concerned about your apparent morality. Why do you still have such a thing?

I'm trying, I swear, but it's too hard to get rid of.

Nah, we usually advertise it on AAD, so it generally sells out soon after that. If you want to make sure you get a spot, better to send your application in as soon as you can. Once uni events get advertised well enough, they sell out ridiculously fast (foam parties, balls and cruises, for example, generally have ticket sales opening at 9am and sell out well within the hour) :P

Also, is engineering camp that bad? Is it just drinking?

That awesome, I believe you mean. And yes, it is that awesome.

Because commerce ball is the only high school style formal ball, thought it's a bit classier. All the rest of the balls are themed costume pissups. ;)

On that note, all new students should buy a pirate outfit because it's a valid outfit to every cruise and most of the other events.

This. I need a new pirate outfit, come to think of it. What do you reckon is the best place to go? Hot Potatoes just doesn't cut it any more ;)

Nope, there's a 1:1 guy:girl quota. :)

Fark that!

This is what you want to go on!

Absolute best piece of advice I could possibly give any new student. You'll go into uni knowing a couple of hundred new people and will pretty much assure yourself that you will know at least a bunch of people at literally every social event you go to. O'Camp is where a lot of friendship groups form, too: a lot of people who don't go to it come to uni and go to bbqs and stuff thinking 'Wtf, how does everyone know each other? Did I miss something?' The answer is yes. Yes you did. :P

Plus, it's awesome fun! ;)

This looks fun as.. Do you choose whose in your dorm or do they throw you in with new people?
Annnd, do you know when one can start filing in forms/applying?

I have a steady job so I have the luxury of only taking students who won't stress me haha
