to work out where the dude should train i sed that it was simply 85% of the max heart rate which was 200 so 85% of 200 was 170 so he hadto work over 170 bpm. i didnt get the range questions where lactate was clearly equivalent to reduction or sumthin i think i sed speed 10 to 13:S wen lactate was at 2mmols???

this exam was wayyyy easier than last years, i only got 65% on last years and im pretty sure i got like 85 - 90% on this one, so i recon the A+ range will be 88% to be an A+ my whole class sed it was really easy and alota ppl finished with 40 minteus to go, i personally ran outa time and hadto scribble random answeers for the last 2 pages. any1 got the multichoice questions and answers yet?

on ya haha. yeah i'll get em up tmr, didn't get a chance to get a blank copy of the exam today

I finished last years exam with 55mins to go this morning but with 16 wrong so that was a shit load of stupid mistakes. Demoralised me heaps, so I countered it with a red bull.
I felt like there were a lot of misleading/trick questions this year rather than deeper(longer) more complex questions like last year.

Yeh I felt overall that this years was easier than last years.

My Multi-choice was:

DABBCBDBACCDABC

I thought the question on the relationship between the heart and lungs in relation to VO2 max. 'and how does it effect testing' question was wierd. Anyone got any idea what they wrote for this?

I wrote the formula down;
VO2 max. = cardiac output x respiratory rate
(if i can recall, that's the formula) and then explained it.

Pretty sure that question with the LIP training zone said specifically referring to the data shown.

So they won't want a pre-thought answer such as 85% of MHR.

Pretty funny how everyones like yeah i smashed that, but i got this and this and this and this all wrong.

(if i can recall, that's the formula) and then explained it.

VO2 max = cardiac output X a-VO2 difference
Cardiac output (Q) = SV X HR

I wrote how they can compare the result of the test against a set of norms to predict the athletes VO2 max. That was a bit of a guess and i was certain i lost marks but my teacher told me it was right and was all i needed to say.

The question was like what is the relation between heart rate and oxygen uptake. I like your answer actually lol, I did something about how they can predict VO2 max assuming that there is a positive relationship between oxy uptake and HR

I said 75. It should be fine!  I think they'll accept anything in the 70-80 range.

On the topic of the exam, I hated it.
So many questions you didn't even need knowledge of P.E to answer.
There was also alot of ambiguous crap.

Man I wanted really high 40's, I'll be lucky to even get a 40 now :|
