Whats with all the secrecy? Is he worried someone might copy his idea?

No idea. I think its ridiculous though. Consider the notes system as a product - manufacturers of products always do market research to obtain ideas about what the target market wants. Why can't we do the same?

I'd be part of the market so I can't answer why you and enwiabe can't do the same. I guess the fact that their are some incredible minds on this forum could only make things better for FSN which is why I have never understood the whole secrecy around it.

Hmmm, well this is disappointing. I'm pretty annoyed that you discussed none of this with me, nor made any attempt to do so before making these public posts. If you would like to discuss the future of FSN on the executive level, could you please do it with me in private and not on the open messageboards for everybody to see? Kthx.

I can't see any changes being made if I spoke to you privately.

Okay, so we'll do this publically then. The reason why i didn't want feedback was because we were running a tight schedule as it was. I'm a little angry that you said you could do it (and subsequently didn't), leaving me no time to find a suitable replacement. Regardless, public feedback would have pushed back release of the site way back, especially considering you couldn't even get the barebones done in time. I'm not blaming you, it's not for lack of ability but lack of time due to other commitments... Again, I said I was aware of this, but I'm just annoyed that you SAID you could, and left me very little time to find a suitable replacement to make the back-end. Should I take this as your resignation? I really would prefer not to considering I have very little to go on, and this would seriously hamper my efforts to get the site online by February 1st.

Same to you.

I didn't expect as much part-time work as I got these holidays. After working 9 hours in a day, I can't be bothered doing much. I'm sure you can get Daniel15 to build something similar.

Hmm thats unfortunate. I don't understand how getting a bit of feedback would make things tighter for time. Or just consultation or critique on ideas.

I hope this ends up getting fixed up
