i live right next to churchill. and the ones in warragul were close too. it was so scary. it was like we were surrounded. it was raining ash on saturday night. all of the roads were closed and i couldnt leave my town. the next morning the whole entire town was black.

Yeah, my uncle, and 2 cousins live in Churchill. They had the fires right near their house and had to keep soaking there house and fence so the fires wouldn't damage anything.

To all the families who have lost someone, be it a friend, relative or pet, best wishes to you. RIP to those who have lost their lives.

RUN! :P

I don't know if you are being sincere (to me the smiley suggests otherwise), but please excuse me if you are.

If not; What the fuck.. seriously.. over 170 people have lost their lives and countless others their homes/belongings and you're taking the piss out of the situation?

jesus christ.

And what makes you think I'm trying to take the piss out of this? Many people have died because they made the decision to leave far too late.

Nonetheless, I will delete that comment, and would advise anyone near the fire areas to take care of themselves and enact their fire plans now.

I think the choice of smiley appeared to make the post seem bad taste.

You kidding me? My mate lost her home because there was no warning, the wind changed and all of a sudden 10 minutes later Kinglake was completely gone, 10 minutes and no warning, she was driving out and trying to outrun the fire

Can we not turn this into another argument?

Lots of people on this site know people personally affected by this tragedy. It's a sensitive matter. I'm sure Glockmeister did not mean to offend. Just drop it, the victims need support not a bunch of kids arguing over nothing on the internet.
