I'd quite confidently say that if Monash Uni was also located in the heart of Melbourne, it would be the number 1 preference for most people now that Melb Model has been introduced.
 :)
OMG! if that's true, then the ENTER scores would rise!!!!
god help the 09ner's!

:'(

Just because our model sucks, doesn't mean we suck. :(

No insult intended :( sorry lol

You know in hindsight you'd have rather gone Monash (if the location was better.)

I'd quite confidently say that if Monash Uni was also located in the heart of Melbourne, it would be the number 1 preference for most people now that Melb Model has been introduced.

I think thats why a lot of people from the other side of Melbourne still put Melb over Monash wheras we have the luxury of attending the best Uni in Vic at our doorstep :)
If location wasn't a factor, I would have gone to Monash. As it stands, I have enough trouble getting to Melbourne; I don't even want to think about the hassle Monash would have been.

If I'd had known I was going to get 97 ENTER, I would have actually studied properly for accounting and economics exams (and actually studied FULLSTOP for business and gone for the 50) and I would have gotten 98+.

Come to think of it, I dont think its as hard as I once thought.  You can do it. Just study hard and wisely and youll get 98+

I didnt go to Deakin because
1. It seemed foreign to me as strange as that sounds.
2. I weighed up my choices, 5 years at Deakin doing Law/Com where majority of my degree will be Law (not half-half to each) or doing double degree at Monash (my preferred University choice) doing two things that I had a greater feeling that Id LOVE doing.
3. I viewed Monash to be superior to Deakin
4. At the time Law freekin scared the fuck outta me. (sometimes I denied this though). I didnt feel like Id LOVE doing law, hence why I chose BBus double degree

If I did really well this year and was offered a Law spot at Monash, Id CONSIDER it (not 100% take it though) because I think Law @ Monash > Law @ Deakin and I'd like doing the course betetr

I study Mechatronics engineering at Monash and I absolutely hate it. I should've done Commerce or Engineering at RMIT/Melb.
Advise: Whatever you do, don't go to Monash.
