so many goddamn fractions to work out
hate them, and the fact that I integrated the probability density function
what a nightmare today
lol I did fractions too.
but the easiest way was to use symmetry and triangles..
still got the answers though.

Yeah, symmetry and triangles..At first I was going to do integrals, but was like - there must be an easier way

2-3 was obviously 0.5
and 3-3.5 you could work out by similar triangles

thank god, one of the few things i got right
Re: Silly things you did during the exam..
I accidentally wrote a really shit context essay, oh wai-

Is writing that the biased coin question is binomially distributed wrong?

Didn't have to use symmetry. Since Pr(X<3.5)=1-Pr(X>3.5) so you only have to calculate a trapezium.

But I can't really talk, I spent 20 minutes because I used integration.

Damn, that is smart. I swear to god, the second you walk into the exam room you fucking forget everything, lost about 4 marks just on silly mistakes, thats not including the questions that i couldnt do at all -_-

All in all, it was a decent exam, it was balanced with most of the first half of the exam being quite easy and the last two questions being rather challenging, I think it was a lot more "algebraic" than past VCAA exams which is good for all of us who make a lot of adding/subtracting/fractional errors.

Apart from that, I think it wasn't too bad, there were no outright difficult questions. Anyway, let's start moving onto Exam 2 now! :D

I think I might have stupidly put the period as 6, but that's just a gut feeling, I can't logically think of why I would do that, I just have that feeling

In retrospect I should have just jotted the answers down on my formula sheet, saves me from being nervous about exam 2 now! :(

Also, if i wrote ln|x+4/3| /3 will i still get the marks for the antidiff question?
Yes, it's still correct

I thought it was alright. The last page was the worst by fair- I couldn't differentiate the equation. Everything else was do-able but I'm sure I would have made a few stupid fraction mistakes. What's the percentage of tomorrows exam (for our study score)?

Thoroughly disappointed by a lack of inverse and tangent/normal questions

Really? I'm hoping they'll be a monster tangent/normal question tomorrow, because a lot of people struggle with that.
