AHHHH. I'm not enjoying uni atm. Woke up at 7am or something for a 9am tutorial and then when I finally got there, albeit late, I remembered our first tutorial was next week. Then I decided I would skip my maths lecture because the last one was so boring and I didn't want to wait for ages so I went to a friends house. Then I went back 3 hours later for a lecture but literally could not find the class and peoples directions were too confusing so I ended up falling asleep on the nicest piece of grass outside for 2 hours. Tomorrow I have classes non-stop from 8am to 2pm.
Don't worry, you'll get into a routine fairly quickly and it won't seem so confusing. I would also recommend on one of your longer breaks (if you have any) to go around campus with a map and explore - that's essentially how I familiarised myself with everything in first year.
Also, first lectures are always boring before third year, but they inevitably get better after that. Definitely make an effort to go to classes! It pays off during exams.
If you've got classes without break from 8 until 2, I would strongly recommend you take the time to have something to eat when possible. A day like that is going to be a real struggle without food (I don't like eating at uni so I choose to keep my days as short as possible hahaha).
8:00am - 4:30pm on Thursday with no break.
That is just a little bit insane. Make sure you eat and stay hydrated during this period. At the very least, you'll sleep well Thursday nights!
Just a little amendment to what Euler says above^: Most lecturers don't really have an issue with people eating during lectures (especially during lunchtime-ish classes), provided that the food isn't noisy to eat/very odorous. A sandwich is perfectly fine.
If you feel you can't manage a day this long, that's perfectly fine too. In your position I'd probably skip a couple of lectures and watch them later at home.
