Can I tentatively put my vote in for Stick as AN Dux 2013?

I second that!

Don't doubt yourself Stick!

Why do you all think so highly of me? At the start of the year completing a SAC and holding my stomach down were two mutually exclusive events.

Given your attitude towards your goals and the results you produce... I'm not surprised at all.

Everyone here appreciates that you have the potential to do extremely well (: From firsthand experience I know how nerves can drag down your scores but that's something you need to learn to cope with in the next 10 months if you want to live up to your 'VCE potential' (ie. your capacity to get top level grades next year). It's all about self belief - I don't know anyone who got a 50 that didn't think they could.

That's because you haven't started any of your 3/4s! Like before I started year 12 I thought I'd get like low 40s max for chemistry but it quickly turned out to be my best subject and I was expecting a 50 in it until the midyear. For most of the year I was expecting to get like 35 for Methods too but high 40s in that also seemed somewhat possible before the exam thanks to heaps of hard work in the months leading up to it. It's a marathon, not a sprint (:

I admire how you've been able to change that and actually hold your stomach down now, not just you, but anyone who has made a positive change deserves admiration and respect.

Well I'm off to have my wisdom teeth removed. I guess you'll be glad that the procedure will force me to take a break from the books for a little while (although hopefully I can still read my texts if I feel well enough). :P

My mouth hurts a little at the moment, and I'm bleeding, but I don't feel too bad. I was kidding myself when I thought I could spend today reading, though. I think some rest is in order (I'm in bed at the moment on my iPad).
