Well, why don't you then simply get a better tutor? There are so many tutors out there, just choose a new one, you didn't made any commitment. If you're going for the 45+ I'd recommend abes, he held the methods lecture for connect, which i went to and helped me with methods since then over facebook. Even just the written messages go through my eyes into my brain, haven't dropped a mark in my sacs since he helps me(I dropped 'a lot' of marks before. I'd be lucky to have him as an actual tutor.

In addition to this, last year I remember I was struggling with getting to know my CAS and pm'd him for help on like one minor thing. The guy invites me to the state library and says 'bring any questions and the hardest prac exam q's you can find and your CAS and I'll show you how to use it to its full power'. (paraphrasing)
He spends like 90 minutes+ running me down on how to use my CAS to its' full extent, he programmed all these shortcuts in it for me and in the end refused money and He was really nice.
That PM was literally the first time I'd communicated with him too.
Also I bought my Dr. He and Kilbaha exams with me and he poo'd on them! (figuratively)

I heard he gyms now too

Not necessarily. You assumed abes > 0. Consider the case where abes = 0 and abes < 0. :P

You should find a new tutor asap! I know what its like to have that kind of tutor.. My physics tutor only cared about money and whenever I asked questions he would answer them wrongly (hence I would have learnt something incorrect), only to later find out they were wrong. And then he just manipulates answers to fit the given answers etc.

No point spending time with a bad tutor.

Speaking of tutors who don't care about money and are just all around awesome. I had a really good tutor for chem in unit 3, John Wong, absolute beast and we finished the course 2 months before exams.
But straight after we finished the course he informed me that I should probably find another tutor to replace him for unit 4, as he felt like he couldn't teach it to his best ability. Top bloke, didn't waste my time or money, main reason I went from failing Yr11 Chemistry to doing good in unit 3 Chemistry. Unit 4 just isn't the same without him :(
