You *have* to select a slot for every class/prac/etc. You can't just leave one unselected due to a clash. If you don't select one, you'll be automatically enrolled into a class after a certain point.

I know this has been answered in various ways before but does it really matter where tutes are scheduled? For example my current plan (bcom) is for:

Lecture #1 - Tuesday
Tute - Wednesday
Lecture #2 - Thursday

Would the tutorial cover the day before content as well, or would it just be from strictly the previous week? If its just from the previous week then I'm guessing it would be better to have a tute early in the week, and then the lectures towards the end. Otherwise wouldn't you learn new content in a lecture, and then the next day revise old content from last week's lecture?

You're correct, tutes are better earlier in the week for that very reason.

That seems to be a pretty good timetable.
For the law tutes...if they didn't change it..the tutes are actually your assessments.! you have to go to these comp labs to do a test which is Multiple Choice  :D

I'm doing 8 science subjects this year, without breadth, should all of them be planned under the "science level 1" tab, in the study plan from the enrolment online form? I don't think it's letting me plan more than 5 under that tab.
Could someone pretty please answer this? it got ignored amongst other discussion :(

It's been addressed elsewhere - you have to speak to the Science Student Centre to get them to allow you to put your 8th science subject under "Science and Breadth". You can add your 6th and 7th subjects to "Science Level 1,2 and 3".

But, consider whether you want to use up all these slots for possible Science subjects on 1st year, rather than 2nd or 3rd year.

So I shall put my proposed timetable here  ::)
Tuesdays are free and Monday have the potential to be free as well, given that all those subjects are lectopia enabled.
I'm also considering moving the BIO workshop on Friday to Tuesday

Wow second year subjects have substantially fewer streams even if they are the ones needed to get into med.

FML! anatomy is 9am start, no other streams :( Man that just totally ruined my day

You could work weekends, or at a restaurant/fast food/do waitressing or something that is open in the evening :)

So for Principles of Business Law, we only need to attend the 2 hour lecture? Tutorials are optional?

I also did 8 science with no breadth in first year.

Yes, you can only put 5 subjects in your "BS-SCISUBLV1 - Science Level 1" section - you will have to put the other 3 elsewhere on your study plan, e.g. "BS-SCISUBLV123 - Science Level 1, 2 & 3" or "BS-SCI&BREADTH - Science and Breadth". You don't need permission from the Student Centre like John President said.

This might be problematic if you don't want to waste three slots in your study plan on first year subjects. However, since I was enrolled in a Diploma in Mathematical Sciences as well, I enrolled in 2 maths subjects outside the BSc, so I only had to enrol in 6 science subjects. (I put the extra one in "BS-SCISUBLV123 - Science Level 1, 2 & 3".

Hope this helps!
