WAIT I'M SORRY GUUYS LOL
just to clarify...

SHD (4 marks) = 1 cycle program + interrelate
SHD (6 marks)= 2 cycles program + interrelate
interrelationships (6 marks) = 1 or 2 cycles??  link program to each? interrelate?

That's how I do it. Trust me, it will make the interrelationship so much easier to identify.

Physically healthy people will be able to access an education to enhance their capabilities and access knowledge. People may become mentally healthier due to an increased confidence in their abilities from education. They may also be more likely to lead creative and product lives according to their interests. Educated people are also more likely to understand the importance of environmental sustainability and preserve natural resources such as fertile soil to continue the income generating activity for future generations to come..

I'd give that 6/6. (It's not bad! Everyone has their own way of doing it) I would try to elaborate more on the sustainability to show you know what environmental sustainability is (such as knowledge about importance of conserving natural resources for future generations use).

EDIT: My bad, you did include that. Ignore what I said, 6/6.

I suppose the way I do it is:

Health - human development - sustainability

It's okay the way you're doing it, just make sure you underline key words to help the examiners know exactly how many marks to award you. (Eg underline  physical health)

6 marks??! hahaha no way :o

if you talk about knowledge then wouldn't it be social sustainability?

It would be social sustainability. Which is I suppose what got me confused. Environmental sustainability is more about conserving natural resources.

I always try to avoid environmental sustainability, even though it might seem the easiest you can easily get the lines blurred with other dimensions of sustainability. Unless you were making a direct link from say, 'teaching people how to build wells using renewable resources  instead of wood to ensure enviro. sust.'

YES! Six marks! You better believe it. :)

This is how I marked it:

Health:  physical health [tick], mental health [tick]
HD:  capabilites [tick], knowledge [tick] productive lives [tick]
S: environmental sus [tick]

There's 6 ticks in total.

Thanks

Yes, totally acceptable.

Also, when a question asks us "describe a program that could be implemented..." we basically make up one? like a reasonable one in the context of the question of course.

They don't want you to make up something random out of thin air, draw on your knowledge from the projects you've studied. For example, if it's about Malaria, you won't start talking about ART therapy for HIV. It's common sense. Examiners have to mark about 300 exams, as long as you're on topic that's
All that matters. :)

Explain one reason why DFAT provides funding to non-government organisations (NGOs).?

They dont receive funding from governments, They are effective at reaching the most marginalized and most vulnerable?

is that sufficient enough

Pretty much and that the aid of NGOs is usually focused on meeting basic health needs, community development and participation, and emergency or humanitarian assistance.  It usually provides aid directly to people running development projects and helps in areas where bilateral aid does not reach.

Good luck for today!

Are we going to have a new thread for 2015, or are we going to stick to this one? (:
