-7 - k, is right, they didnt say find k, so im sure -7 -k is correct aswell
Incorrect, if the question does not say find in terms of k, it must be explicit.

Also for Q 3 I just left it as perpendicular component = blah blah and parallel component = blah blah. Do you guys think that's fine?

Besides that, I'm pretty sure all your answers are right.

hmm I did something similar but even worse. i only indicated which one was the perpendicular vector and did not label the other one, just circled it and called it "vector 1"

i don't think they will be harsh enough to take deduct marks from us, they just asked us to find find the two vectors, so it wouldn't be necessary to actually express (5i 1j 3k) in terms of these two vectors like jimmy did.

Possibly, it does say resolve it into two vector components not just state the components.

Though I did the exact same heh

I made little notes next to each part labelling each bit as the parallel and perpendicular part. However I think the VCAA will awards marks if you leave it as I shown in the answers, or just stated which bits the components are

Question 3

i had the perpendicular vector in the other direction from the above stated, is that incorrect? T_______T

[EDIT] If it explicitly asked to find the components of the vector than I've lost marks for it :'( - I can't work under pressure..

for 9a), if you did the initial anti-differentition wrong, but the rest of the question right
do you still get some marks?
or do we lost all possible marks since we made the first mistake?

hmm i'm not sure how consequential marks work in maths, i think you should probs get the mark for 9b).
for 9a) you have lost one mark for incorrect method at one stage and one mark for the incorrect answer. so i'd say you'll only lose 2 marks for 9a), but i'm not sure

Yeah I think you would have to lose some since there are specific answer marks. Does anyone have the paper? I can't remember half of the questions!

I'm guessing they award 1 mark for subbing in right value of k.

1 mark for answer.

Subbing in k and getting the answer is practically the same mark if you've already gotten -7-k
