There's peer assessment in first year engineering. It's awesome.

I think Minilunchbox did MBB as UMEP this year concurrently with VCE psych so she'd know.

You should send her a PM :)

Yes, there is some overlap.  But you would have done it so it'll be easy for you.

I did both last year.

MBB1 is units 3/4 psych at a quicker pace and with more detail. MBB2 is different and new, but some of the stuff is similar to units 1/2 psych (social psych). Not much though, but I can't really remember much of units 1/2 psych or MBB2.

Anyone know of an interesting breadth subject that's pretty easy with fairly low contact hours?

I called the co-ordinator about doing Biological Psychology (lv2) without first year psych.
He said it's fine, and there is no presumed knowledge; and if I want to get to prepare/read ahead - go through the neural system (action potentials, neurotransmitters) & sleep in the prescribed textbook.
Should be okay I hope, someone on these forums after searching had done it (Dan) without first year, shall hear what he has to see.
^Just incase anyone was considering doing this without first year, definitely a better option than a 3rd year without any previous psych study!

Yeah I considered that one, but it's not breadth so I figured I'd rather stick with the 6

Looks kinda interesting and I'd get to be snobby towards arts students :P

I'm doing a B.Com degree and would like to get into politics as a breadth. I've looked at the two politics/international studies level 1 subjects and i would like opinions on both if possible.

International Politics
https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2011/INTS10001

Introduction to Political Ideas
https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2011/POLS10003

I like the look of the first one, but the assessment seems very difficult and i am unsure whether i would be able to get good marks in it.

What would you suggest?
