I don't think it's just you charmanderp it's just an attitude that comes naturally when you've actually put in work/work hard to achieve.  Cheaters are cheats!  They don't deserve good marks when someone else (like yourself) puts in a lot of effort.

guyyys I realised that I filled in my details wrong on my chem10003 multiple choice sheet!! (didn't include three 0s before my student number)
think i have a chance of getting it marked still, or will i be repeating the subject next semester?

(yeah, i didn't think it was possible to be so brilliant at life either)

I did the exact same thing but luckily the examiner saw it and corrected me.
I'm certain they will pick up on your mistake and they can just check your name and match it up with your student number

Adding onto this, I think cheating is just a sign of desperateness which really doesn't help - if you already have a thorough understanding of the material, then your brain is a far better resource than notes you bring in. As if random scribble is going to help you in the exam. The risks associated with being caught is also so large.

ahaha really? i'm quite sure the invigilators saw it and didn't say anything!!
and then i did it again three times in bio today and realised later and fixed it. :X
think i should send steven best an email or pop into the science student centre or something like that tomorrow?

also if worst comes to worst, and it doesnt get marked, is there any chance at all of me still passing? section b is only worth 1/3 of the exam, and the exam is worth 75% so there's no way properly pass, but i've heart that if you're close to passing and your attendance and whatnot it good, they might let you pass anyways?

They won't disregard your sheet because it's missing the first three zeroes. As long as your student number is there and filled correctly it'll be fine. I'm pretty sure I had a lecturer tell us that only the 6 digits mattered.

I think you should email the chem department and/or the relevant people just to be safe. Shouldn't be a big deal :)

Have you looked at the handbook and read what topics they teach? That would be a good place to start as you can see which ones interest you more :) I did calc 2 this semester and it's basically a harder version of specialist/calc 1. Stuff like limits/integration/Differential equations etc.
My friend did Linear and he said it was real abstract and he didn't like it that much :P

Oh was it a lady lecturing? She was my streams lecturer and she could be intimidating but the lecture theater was always packed because she's the best lecturer apparently.
Yeah it was ok :P  I enjoyed maths in VCE much more than uni.. so I'm not doing maths next semester. I just found it a bit boring and dry, didn't really suit me. But it's different for everyone, if you enjoyed calc 1 then you would enjoy calc 2 :) Try reading the subject review thread too

Yeah.. it was really packed when I was there.. didn't want to leave halfway through cause she was so scary..
But yeah, the way she taught I found was much better than my lecturer for calc 1.
Ah, I see..fair enough. I enjoyed the tutes for calc 1, but didn't really show up for the lectures cause it was really boring and I did spesh in year 12... lmao
Shall have a look at that some time
