I'm on a ketogenic diet. I've now lost 6.5 kg in about a month. Feels pretty good actually!

what do you eat?

From Wiki:
The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that in medicine is used primarily to treat difficult-to-control (refractory) epilepsy in children. The diet mimics aspects of starvation by forcing the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates. Normally, the carbohydrates contained in food are converted into glucose, which is then transported around the body and is particularly important in fuelling brain function.

This is probably better reading

His diet consists of chicken, fish, vegetables, cheese, and his own recipes (he gave me a no carb cake the other day, I think it's resulted in a heart blockage lmao)

Ended up buying 4 kangaroo patties (the stats on it are brilliant, looking forward to making them on thurs/friday), also got the 27 egg whites in a frozen packet.

Will probably omelette the egg whites. Do you kill off much protein by frying eggs? I wouldn't down it raw because the $/protein ratio is very high, but it could be quite filling as an omelette.

Egg protein is better when cooked. Something about higher biological value. I'm probably just spouting broscience
It's really not that hard to quantify..., but I believe that being raped once is not as bad as being raped five times, even if the one rape was by a gang of people.

Nah no broscience bro :)
Cooking eggs is better for you. You have a small chance of getting salmonella eating eggs raw, but it's a very small chance. I eat raw eggs on rice sometimes.

Taiga how do you make a no-carb cake? Don't you need some kind of flour or something?

Recipe is here. Don't make the cookie base. It's absolutely disgusting. Make everything else though, that's pretty damn tasty!

I'll soon be following the Mediterranean/Middle Eastern diet and getting a lot of exercise -in Israel, so I'm now eating calorie-suffused festive foods without compunction. Deferred discipline ftw :)

yes! i was just in france the other day and had 15 macarons in a single day.

i blame the skin piercing winter that has filled my days with episodes of excessive eating.

before i left australia i made everyone promise me to still stay friends if i come back obese. little did they know, i wasn't joking.

sorry if this has been off-topic.

I don't see the point of that diet haha, basically eat a banana for breakfast and eat normal for the rest of the day?
Not really good for muscle building, doesn't mention protein at all :P
